Small studies in oil and gold. Only 15 x 15cm approx. really enjoyed playing with oil. So much more ‘fluid’ than acrylic. And the smell is fantastic too

Middle panel of new triptych. First layers of paint….. But so glad to start painting. Been waiting too long

And the next challenge begins…..

I think this is finished, an exercise in control and patience, something I am not renowned for. This piece will be on sale at the simply cheshire event at Arley hall in May where I shall be exhibiting work for the Joshua tree charity.
